The establishment and development of industries in the country is one of the seven priorities that will be implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the 2025/2026 budget. Those priorities have been mentioned today in parliament May 14,2025 by the minister of that ministry,Hon.Dr. Selemani Jafo (MP)when he was presenting the estimates of the ministry’s income and expenditure for the financial year 2025-2026.
Minister Jafo has mentioned other priorities are to continue with the implementation of illustrative and strategic projects, strengthening the capacity of production in industries and service delivery to improve the environment including the construction of industrial estate infrastructure (Industrial Clusters) for small and medium sized industries.
Also, improving the business environment and stimulating growth of the Private Sector; Sustaining market search for goods and services produced in the country; Stimulating human development by improving projects and programmes for the Society involving education and skills training.Another priority is to strengthen the Quality Management and Safety of Products in the country including food and cosmetics.
Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA) Executive Director, Mr. Oscar Kissanga congratulated Minister Jafo and his ministry for presenting a good budget that was passed by Parliament without opposition.
Kissanga said Minister Hon. Dr. Suleiman Jafo is doing a good job that will benefit the nation and that is why the budget of his ministry has been passed without opposition.
“I believe through this budget 2025/2026 the industrial sector will do much better especially in the international spheres because many businessmen will benefit from the improved business infrastructure in the country”. He said Mr.Kissanga.
