Tanzanian entrepreneurs to benefit from new business, investment and technology opportunities.

Tanzanian businessmen are expected to benefit from new business, investment and technology opportunities following a special dinner event hosted by the Indonesian Ambassador to Tanzania, H.E. Jatmiko Tri Yogo, aimed at strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.

The event took place in conjunction with the largest international trade expo—Trade Expo Indonesia 2025—which took place in Indonesia from 15 to 19 November 2025. The expo brought together over 1,500 participants from various countries around the world, aiming to promote businesses across participant countries through live discussions and exhibitions of products and innovative technology.

Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Tanzania (TCCIA) was represented by the Vice President of Industries, Abdul Mwilima, who stressed that the cooperation will give a wide opportunity to the private sector of Tanzania to expand markets of goods and services abroad as well as increase the value of crops and local products.

“We recognize the great opportunity of cooperation between Tanzania and Indonesia in promoting business and industries. “This is a unique opportunity to combine forces of the private sector in promoting the economy,” said Mwilima.

The event was accompanied by a B2B (Business to Business) meeting between Tanzanian businessmen and their Indonesian counterparts, where areas of cooperation in the agriculture, industry, energy, technology and investment sectors were discussed in detail. Through the discussions, both sides discussed strategies to boost sales of agricultural products, exchange technology and attract investment from small and large industries.

On his part, Ambassador Jatmiko noted Indonesia’s determination to strengthen trade relations with Tanzania, stressing that those countries have a great opportunity to exchange knowledge, technology and resources to stimulate economic growth of both sides.

Indonesia and Tanzania have a history of friendship and good cooperation. “Now we want to strengthen these relationships further through trade, investment and exchange of technology,” said Ambassador Jatmiko.

This step has laid a strong foundation for continuous cooperation between Tanzania and Indonesia.
