TCCIA Strengthens Partnerships with Higher Learning Institutions to Empower Youth.

In a bid to equip young graduates and vocational trainees with essential skills for the job market and entrepreneurial ventures, the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (TCCIA) is enhancing its collaboration with higher learning institutions and vocational training centers across the country.

As part of this initiative, TCCIA was honored to join the College of Business Education (CBE) in celebrating its 59th graduation ceremony held on November 8, 2024, at the Mwalimu Nyerere International Conference Centre in Dar es Salaam. Representing the TCCIA President, TCCIA Vice President for Agriculture, Mr. Swallah Said Swallah, witnessed the awarding of certificates to 2,665 graduates in various disciplines.

This partnership with CBE marks a significant step toward addressing the skills gap among graduates. TCCIA is in the final stages of formalizing an agreement with CBE to implement joint apprenticeship and incubation programs. These programs aim to enhance graduates’ expertise in business management, entrepreneurship, innovation, and the application of technology in business operations.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Swallah emphasized the importance of bridging academia and industry to prepare youth for economic participation. “At TCCIA, we believe that partnerships with educational institutions are pivotal to developing the next generation of skilled professionals and entrepreneurs. These initiatives will not only empower our youth but also contribute to Tanzania’s socio-economic development,” he stated.

Through this collaboration, TCCIA is fostering an ecosystem where young people are equipped to navigate the challenges of the modern workforce and succeed as innovative contributors to the economy. The apprenticeship programs will offer hands-on experience, while incubation initiatives will provide a platform for nurturing entrepreneurial ideas and transforming them into viable businesses.

TCCIA remains committed to supporting Tanzania’s youth by investing in their education and skill development, ensuring they are well-positioned to drive economic growth and innovation in the private sector. This strategic partnership with CBE is just one of many initiatives by TCCIA to strengthen the link between education and industry, paving the way for a brighter future for Tanzania’s young professionals.
