TCCIA Participates in the Launch of Reports on Investment and Business Environment Reforms

Dar es Salaam, September 11, 2024 – The launch of the Investment and Business Environment Reform Reports, alongside the Investment Management Tools, took place at Mlimani City Hall in Dar es Salaam. The event was presided over by the Prime Minister, Hon. Kassim Majaliwa, and was attended by other key government officials, including the Minister of State in the President’s Office for Planning and Investment, Prof. Kitila Mkumbo, and Deputy Minister Stanslaus Nyongo, along with development partners, international organizations, and members of the diplomatic community.

The Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (TCCIA) was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Oscar Kissanga, along with business experts, policy advisors, and TCCIA members. As a key stakeholder in the nation’s business development, TCCIA actively participates in various committees addressing business challenges and represents the private sector’s interests in national economic discussions.

The launch is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to improve the business and investment environment in Tanzania. These initiatives aim to streamline business operations and attract more international investment, fostering economic growth and competitiveness.

Mr. Kissanga, on behalf of TCCIA, reiterated the importance of these reforms for the private sector, emphasizing that a conducive business environment is essential for the growth of industries and the attraction of foreign investors. He highlighted that TCCIA is committed to working closely with the government and other stakeholders to ensure that the reforms are effectively implemented, benefiting both local businesses and foreign investors.
