Dar es Salaam – The Chief Executive Officer of the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (TCCIA), Mr. Oscar Kissanga, paid an official visit to the Indian Embassy in Tanzania. During the visit, Mr. Kissanga met and held discussions with the Acting High Commissioner of India to Tanzania, His Excellency Manoj Verma (Cd’A), on July 16, 2024.
The discussions between the two leaders focused on strengthening trade relations between Tanzania and India, exploring various opportunities for cooperation in the trade and industrial sectors. A key topic discussed was the issue of certificates of origin issued by TCCIA for products exported to India. His Excellency Ambassador Verma commended Mr. Kissanga and TCCIA for their excellent leadership and professionalism in managing the issuance of these certificates.
TCCIA, in collaboration with TradeMark Africa, continues to improve its systems to ensure that the issuance of certificates of origin is done digitally. The primary goal of these improvements is to simplify and enhance the efficiency of the certification process, thereby further strengthening trade between Tanzania, India, and other countries.
This visit marks an important step in advancing trade relations between Tanzania and India and reflects the commitment of both parties to enhancing commercial and economic cooperation.
