Regional Tax Forum Engages Mwanza Business Community.

Mwanza, November 22, 2024 – Business leaders and entrepreneurs gathered at the Gold Crest Hotel in Mwanza to participate in the ongoing Regional Tax Forum, an event designed to facilitate dialogue on tax issues and improve the business landscape.

The forum, organized in collaboration with the government, provided a platform for business stakeholders to share insights and recommendations on tax-related challenges in their respective sectors. The goal is to foster a conducive environment for business growth and investment.

“TCCIA remains steadfast in its commitment to working closely with the government to enhance the business environment. We encourage our members and all business operators to actively participate in these forums as they reach other regions,” said Mr. Boniface Ndengo, TCCIA Vice President for Trade.

Mr. Gabriel C. Kenene, Chairperson of TCCIA Mwanza Region, extended gratitude to President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her leadership and to the Ministry of Finance for partnering with TCCIA to organize these critical discussions. “This forum highlights the importance of collaboration between the business community and the government. It allows us to address tax-related issues collectively and ensures that the voices of business stakeholders are included in the national tax framework to enhance the business and investment climate,” he remarked.

The Regional Tax Forum is an initiative aimed at creating meaningful dialogue between the private sector and the government. By gathering feedback and fostering partnerships, the forum seeks to align tax policies with the needs of the business community, thereby promoting economic growth and sustainability.

TCCIA calls on businesses across Tanzania to engage in upcoming forums in their regions. Active participation is crucial in shaping a more supportive tax system that fuels business innovation, competitiveness, and long-term development.

With a collaborative approach and open discussions, Tanzania is taking significant strides toward creating a thriving environment for businesses to prosper and contribute to the nation’s economic progress.
